CRR/SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT (SRD) REGULAR MEETING
Brief Report
SHOOTING IN THE DARK
Last night’s (10/02/23) SRD MEETING was called to order by SRD Chairman Lynn Breeden at 6:00 p.m.
All SRD Directors present-Jeff Parcel and Ed Thompson.
CRR Road Supervisor Jordan Jones was unable to attend.
Chairman Breeden followed the AGENDA
According to Chairman Breeden, they were provided very little information-“zero help” from the former SRD Directors.
No transitioning assistance or cooperation was offered by any the former Directors.
Thompson stated: “We can’t find any information on the scope of the Special Road District. In other words, what are we really empowered to do, much less how to do it.”
“I can’t find any information on what projects were listed that needed to be done for the year. We’re shooting in the dark somewhat.”
There was one exception, former SRD Director/Treasurer Dana Pierce met briefly with Thompson regarding treasurer related duties only.
Breeden received an email from Ranch Manager Judy Lapora regarding the change in meeting days/times.
According to Breeden, Lapora confirmed that Jordan Jones,
“was fine with coming at night, on the first Monday of every month.”
However, he reported receiving a telephone call at 2:00 p.m. from Jordan stating he was
“completely unaware of the meeting changes and probably not going to be able to attend the meetings on a regular basis.”
