IN CASE OF EMERGENCY

Last April Ranch Matters posted a story titled, “THE 7Ps-PROPER PLANNING  & PREPARATION PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE”

The story dealt with the lack of Plans, Protocols and Procedures on the part of Ranch Management/Officials regarding Crisis Management-Emergencies of all types.

We pointed out that according to CRR’s Policy & Procedures Handbook, Section 4.9 “CRISIS MANAGEMENT” states, “The Ranch Manager will normally be the first responder to any emergency or crisis on Association property or with staff. The Board will be brought into the emergency/crisis response planning and direction as soon as the initial crisis response has been addressed.” WORDS ON PAPER.
As an aside, Ranch Manager/First Responder Judy Lapora does not live on the Ranch.

The story also included statements from Jefferson County Sheriff Jim Adkins. Adkins said the “THE 7 P’s” is good advice and added, “If things go really bad, I (Sheriff’s Office) can’t be there.” Further, Adkins stated, Ranch Officials and Association Members need to be “self- sufficient and develop plans for all emergencies/crisis.” He stressed, Ranch Officials need to explore “out of the box” options in all matters related to the safety and security of the Ranch Homeowners.

WE ARE LIVING IN STRANGE AND UNSETTLING TIMES

.

Shouldn’t CRISIS MANAGEMENT be a Ranch PRIORITY?

The Safety and Security of Association Members lives and property has been a controversial issue for several years.

It appears Ranch Officials have gone out of their way to blatantly ignore the safety needs of the residents.

When volunteer driven public safety programs were in developmental stages, those programs were dismissed and intentionally sabotaged.

WHAT ARE RANCH OFFICIALS PRIORITIES?

*CC&R VIOLATIONS-Flags, Signs…?
*GOLF COURSE EXPENDITURES?
*ILLEGAL DUMP STATIONS?
*RAISING AND COLLECTING DUES?

To name a few.

Why hasn’t the Ranch Board addressed the unprecedented-CRISES that are local and global in nature that ultimately impact the 5K plus residents living on the Ranch?
