“GREETINGS MARK”

“Please show me proof that I was the one that submitted the complaint”

On June 9th, 2021, Ranch Matters reached out to former Crooked River Ranch Director Mark Schneider regarding the “FALSE/UNFOUNDED” complaints he submitted in 2020 to the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) against John Stevens’ private investigators license and Ranch Matters News Service. Mark responded shortly thereafter and stated in part,

“Please show me proof that I was the one that submitted the complaint.”

Schneider asked for proof and DPSST provided it. Ranch Matters recently obtained from DPSST an email exchange between Schneider and DPSST. On April 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM Schneider wrote to DPSST the following:

“Thank you. And thanks for redacting my name, address, and phone numbers. Little good it will do, but we’ll see. How well do you know Karen Evans? She seems to be protecting her own kind.”

39 minutes later DPSST responded: “GREETINGS MARK,” Karen Evans has not worked for our office since her retirement last year and was not involved in the release of the records. As I mentioned in my previous email, our office was ordered by the Oregon Department of Justice to release the records and we complied with that legal order.”

At 11: 59 AM, Schneider, not happy with the Department of Justice Order, asked if he could re-submit his complaint and reviewed by

“someone impartial to the accused.”

He ended his message by saying,

“I still would like to remain confidential if possible…”

DPSST again responded, the case is closed and will not be reopened.

About an hour later, Mark Schneider emails DPSST ranting about their decision and further attacking Stevens professionally and personally. Schneider closes his email with the following threat:

“If I cannot re-submit, then I HAVE OTHER PLANS for John Stevens.”

“OTHER PLANS”?
