COMMISSION COMPETITION

Ranch Director Ara Erdekian announced at today’s Ranch Work Session meeting his intentions to challenge Jefferson County Commissioner Wayne Fording in the upcoming 2024 Primaries.

Erdekian feels the Ranch Nominating Committee needs to get involved in local politics.

.

Erdekian: “I would like our Nominating Committee to start thinking about nominating for local elections up the line…

.

Erdekian: “The Ranch is up against multiple problems and we’re up against the ceiling”.

.

He added: “I think we need to start to make some noise.”

.

Erdekian would like to see not only Ranch residents embedded in County politics, but also greater financial returns.

.
.

Ranch Matters (RM) reached out to County Commissioner Wayne Fording for a comment.

According to Fording he was just advised of a challenger entering the race and confirmed he will be campaigning for re-election.

.

Fording told RM that Jefferson County is responsive to all the communities within the County not just the Ranch and when an issue presents itself they step in.
