Jefferson County COVID-“Inequitable” VACCINATION DISTRIBUTION

According to Jefferson County Commissioner/Chair Kelly Simmelink, there is some BREAKING NEWS.

Today, the Jefferson County Commission along with County Health Director Michael Baker, signed and submitted a letter to the Oregon Health Authority Director Patrick Allen, regarding in part the re-direction of vaccines from 18 Eastern Oregon Counties to the Portland Metro Area.

LETTER ATTACHED

Simmelink said “We’ve done a hell of a job, here in Jefferson County, getting people vaccinated...”

Simmelink added, “Feels like being punished, because we are doing a very good job...”

Simmelink confirmed the County has “36 Pages” of people signed up for the unavailable vaccine.

Currently Crooked River Ranch (CRR) is scheduled for a “Max Vaccination Event” sometime in mid-March.
