Last Thursday, (06/26/25), Ranch Matters (RM) published a report titled, “AGENDA OR VENDETTA” regarding in part, CRR Special Road District (SRD) Chairman Lynn Breeden’s response to CRR Director/Treasure Kelly Davis’s efforts to have him-Breeden, removed from the SRD. Breeden learned from a reliable source that Davis was in contact with certain Jefferson County officials looking for a “PROCESS” to have Breeden officially removed as a SRD Director.

Additionally, Breeden had received an email from Ranch Director Davis requesting clarification about comments Breeden made, at a SRD meeting related to our story, “KABUKI THEATRE”

published last month. Davis specifically asked for clarification related to the ending quote

“UNDISCLOSED AGENDA” in the story.

Breeden commented: “For the record, I stand by all of my quotes in the Kabuki Theatre story.”

Breeden also commented on Director Davis’s “combative conduct” at CRR’s Board of Directors Meeting held on June 23rd. One of the trigger issues that caught Breeden’s attention dealt with Davis’s behavior regarding a couple of secretly approved retaliatory resolutions that specifically targeted Ranch Matters staff and the truthfulness of RM stories.

Breeden later commented: “Ranch Director Davis’s conduct became increasingly combative and he-Davis appeared to be struggling with anger issues as the meeting progressed.”

We ended our story by reporting that we had confirmed via a Jefferson County Official that Davis had indeed made an attempt to seek their official help in having Breeden removed from the SRD Board and emailed Director Davis for conformation.

THREE DAYS LATER

Director Kelly Davis emailed the following response, yesterday, June 29:

“Yes, I did contact Jefferson County about having Breeden reprimanded over his baseless and patently false accusations to your gossip column. I also find it interesting that when I asked Breeden, at the June 23rd board meeting , about the quote, he vehemently denied making that statement; even going so far as to say he needed to start reading your stories a little more carefully. I guess now his recollection is little more clear. Now that he has affirmed his statement to your gossip site, I will be moving forward with filing my grievance with Jefferson County.”

“THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT HAVE GIVEN ME A CHANCE TO SHARE MY SIDE IS RANCH MATTERS…”

“THE ONLY PEOPLE THAT HAVE ACTUALLY TALKED TO ME ABOUT IT ARE MY ATTORNEY AND RANCH MATTERS, WHO CONTACTED ME TO GET MY SIDE OF THE STORY, TO ASK QUESTIONS AND TO FIND OUT ANSWERS BY DOING GOOD JOURNALISM.”

“JUDY LAPORA (CRR MANAGER LAPORA) IS INVOLVED IN THIS. SHE WAS THE ONE THAT CALLED THE POLICE…”

The above quotes were made by Davis as part of a series of stories we published in 2021.

Davis confirmed that he had been sued by the CRR Association and was troubled by Lapora’s involvement. He explained that a CC&R COMPLAINT had been filed against him by his next door neighbors that involved the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Judy Lapora.

Lapora actually made the call to the 911 operator on behalf of the neighbors. She was the Reporting Party (RP) not the neighbors and of course Davis was upset because he was the subject of Lapora’s report.

The report type was listed as “THREAT THREAT”

ADMIN FIRST AS THEY ARE THERE.”

The case was settled and Davis has denied all of the allegations eluded to in the lawsuit and

Lapora’s 911 call.

Director Davis compliments Ranch Matters when he needed their help and now that he sits on

the Ranch Board of Directors attacks RM reports and relegates them to a gossip site. Davis has shown his true colors and his TWO FACES.
