Briefly spoke with Sheriff Jim Adkins at last night's Jefferson County Candidates Forum on the Ranch.

Sheriff Adkins stated that he has not been contacted by the Managing Editor, Holly Gill from the Madras Pioneer or any Pioneer staff regarding his public stand on the Gun Debate.

On March 28, 2018, the Madras Pioneer published a Front Page Photo titled, "Madras March for Our Lives." In part, the photo caption read,

"The March pushed for stronger guns laws and was spurred by recent mass shootings..."
