CRR FIRE & RESCUE-WILDFIRE PREPAREDNESS OPEN HOUSE

Fire Chief Sean Hartley kicked off the event by welcoming attendees and introducing the presenters.

 

Sergeant Skidgel, the Emergency Manager from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, explained the new ALERT ZONE, specifically related to Crooked River Ranch (CRR).

Skidgel: "The ZONES, were built up throughout the entire Jefferson County-its a new process…”

"CRR has about 22 ZONES currently. It's to keep from over evacuating people and also trying to evacuate certain people faster than others, for their safety to get them off the Ranch safely.”

STAR WARS

Chief Hartley explained this years theme related to the movie, STAR WARS.

Hartley: "May the fourth is STAR WARS day and happened to be what we had in our calendar that would fit.

.

The staff decided that they would like to follow that theme since it is May the fourth and we have a little kids course set up that has the Jedi Academy.
