At last Monday’s (06/01/26), CRR/BOD WORK SESSION MEETING, Adam Smith, the attorney
representing the MacPherson family development proposal, addressed the Board of Directors for about 30 minutes. He’s seeking the Board’s support for the project and requested a written letter of support from the Ranch Board.
OLD NEWS?
On September 7, 2022, Jefferson County received a letter of support for the MacPherson’s
Development Project from former Ranch President, Bill Burt. Burt’s letter clearly stated it was a Board of Directors decision to support the project.
Former President Bill Burt’s letter of support opened with: “In preparation for the upcoming
Planning Commission’s decision regarding the development of the property owned by Mac
Investments, also referred to as (Phase 17), the Board of Directors hereby states that it is in the
best interest of (The Association) to formally give approval to moving forward with the zoning
changes needed.”
Burt ends his letter by reinforcing the Board’s support for the project. “In closing, we restate
our support of this proposed zoning change and ultimately to development that it will bring.”
