According to CRR Fire Chief Sean Hartley, the cause of the fire is unknown and impacted approximately 8.24 acres. Currently in mop up mode.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jason Pollock and 5 of his deputies were on scene and Pollock told Ranch Matters:

“We take fire real seriously and especially out here on Crooked River Ranch because there’s a lot of residents out here. I don’t want to see anybody loose their homes or property.

We are working on Fire Evac Zones and trying to get those fine tuned. Our response time was very very quick too”
