Attended the Emergency Exit GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY today.

President Dave Palmer kicked off the ceremony and introduced Government and Ranch Officials that were instrumental in driving the project home.

Some speakers included Bim Gander, Chairman of the Alternate Exit Committee. Gander thanked all of the Government partners along with the many volunteers who helped him spearhead the project.

Jeff Kitchens from the BLM provided some historical background.

Rich Hoffmann, Chairman of the SRD, praised the many volunteers for their assistance despite that they were faced with “harassment and protests, even though they were small.”

After all of the speeches Palmer said, “let’s dig some dirt.”
