“LEADING THE WAY TO A HEALTHIER COMMUNITY!”

.

Yesterday (6/24/22), Ranch Matters attended the Grand Opening/Ribbon-Cutting ceremony at the new Jefferson County Health and Wellness Center in Madras, Oregon.

.

Several public officials were in attendance including Jefferson County Commissioners Kelly Simmelink, Wayne Fording and Mae Huston. State Senator Lynn P. Findley also attended and according to Commissioner Simmelink, “He (Findley) got us over the top-making the project possible...” Congressman Cliff Bentz provided a video statement from Washington, DC and Simmelink stated the Congressman was responsible for initiating the project and getting $4.1 Million.

.

The Wellness Center will centralize the health services for the community by creating partnerships that includes Mosaic Medical. The health partners will be “able to share resources and work collectively on community needs.”
