After the meeting we confirmed with Public Health Director,Mike Baker,

There has been no reported COVID -19 cases in Jefferson County. Baker added, he’s monitoring the situation on a moment by moment bases and the County is following Governor Brown’s Executive Order.

On 3/23, we reported that Baker stated Jefferson County is the most “unhealthy county” in the State of Oregon. Today he explained why Jefferson County is so unhealthy. According to Baker, it’s a “demographic, lifestyles“ situation that includes factors such as, smoking, drinking and drugs.
