HOT TOPIC

.

OFF-ROAD VEHICLE (ORV) USE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY/CRR

.

The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners will be meeting on the Ranch next Wednesday, 09/11/24, at 6:00 p.m. in the Juniper Room.

Ranch President Kari Vickery and her Board of Directors have written the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners opposing any revisions regarding the current ordinance governing OFF-ROAD USE IN JEFFERSON COUNTY.

.

According to Vickery’s undated letter obtained by Ranch Matters, the Ranch Board of Directors were not consulted by any of the stakeholders and outlined their rationale for opposing the proposed changes.

.

Interestingly, while Vickery complains about being left in the dark the same could be said about the Ranch residents.

.

Vickery’s letter clearly states that the Ranch Board “UNANIMOUSLY VOTED AGAINST MODIFYING THE CURRENT REGULATIONS...”

.

When did the Ranch Board meet and discuss this Hot Topic and more importantly VOTE opposing said changes?

.

Regardless of one’s position, transparency is important and the Ranch Board has a statutory duty to conducts their actions openly for the benefit of all the residents.

.

Great opportunity to meet your Elected/Ranch Officials, ask questions and voice your concerns.
