HOLEY ROADS

Ranch Special Road District (SRD) Chairman, Lynn Breeden spent yesterday afternoon measuring the pot holes-degraded areas of the Old Quail Road section, not the Emergency Exit section of Quail Road.

According to Breeden, he measured the 3.7 miles of Old Quail as part of a Bid Process that’s currently underway. Breeden told Ranch Matters he has “$970,000.00” in the coffers and expects the repairs/overlay to consume the majority of the money.

Breeden: “The cost to repair Quail will leave very little left over for the other Ranch roads to be maintained. He added: “All of the other degraded roads that include large pot holes, broken edges and cracks will have to wait until additional funding can be found.”

Breeden continued: “I’m aware, that in the past the Ranch HOA and the Ranch SRD partnered to build the Quail Emergency Exit at a cost of about a million dollars. The HOA along with its stakeholders/residents helped fund the construction of the Emergency Exit.

Maybe they can revisit funding options especially now that Ranch Manager Judy Lapora is looking to help fund the Twin Rivers Church to the tune of a 100K.”

“The HOLEY roads, part of the memberships infrastructure, is where the Association money should be spent and should not be spent on a church.” “Everyone uses the Ranch roads, but not everyone attends Twin Rivers.”
