DOUBLE STANDARD

By Dave

Yesterday, 4/17/19, the Madras Pioneer published an Editorial by the Pamplin Media Editorial Board, titled, "Bill's focus: help keep government more transparent."

The Editorial is addressing HB 2353 that relates to public records; declaring an emergency and explains in the Summary section the following: "Authorizes Attorney General, district attorney or court to award penalty to public records request, plus reasonable attorney fees, if public body responds to request with undue delay or fails to be responsive to request."

The Pamplin Editorial Board's Editorial is not only supporting HB 2353, but promoting government transparency and accountability.

Ranch Matters finds it interesting, that the Pamplin Editorial Board supports this Bill, yet the Pioneer failed to cover our public records lawsuit-in their own backyard, involving the CRR/SRD and the Quail/Emergency Road Project.
