BREAKING NEWS
On December 24, 2019, Crooked River Ranch Club and Maintenance Association, filed a law suit against the Crooked River Ranch Water Company.
Jefferson County Case No: 19CV55620
The COMPLAINT: Trespass; Breach of Contract; Breach of Implied Duty of Good Faith and Fair Dealings; Unjust Enrichment; Damages
Today, Ranch Matters obtained a copy of the lawsuit

Note, On December 19, Ranch Matters emailed Ranch President, Carl Harbour and Water Company General Manager, Frank Day, regarding the MOU Negotiations.
Less than an hour later Harbour emailed the following response: “John, We have been at an impasse on a couple of points affecting the rewrite of the Memo of Understanding. Working on a solution to move it forward. Hope to know more after the holidays. Enjoy the holidays. Carl.”
The following day, Frank Day responded, “I will discause (sic) this with my board and get back to you. Our next meeting is on the 9th. It is a workshop and closed to the public but I will get an answer for you.”
Harbour’s reporting on December 19th, he and or the Ranch Board is “Working on a solution.” 5 days later, Christmas Eve, the Board’s solution is LITIGATION.
AT WHO’S EXPENSE?
When, Where, and How did the Ranch Board decide to sue the Water Company? Are there any legal requirements to notify homeowners?
This is a developing story.
