At the 02/17/25, Regular Board Meeting, Ranch President Kari Vickery confirmed that Director Sarah Woolverton resigned her position on the Board for “personal reasons.”

The Ranch Board held their Work Session Meeting on 03/03/25, and Ranch Manager Judy Lapora provided her BOD Vacancy Update.

.

According to Lapora only one application had been submitted and the deadline for interested parties was 03/12/25, followed by the selection of said party at the 03/17/25, Regular Board Meeting. She did not provide any further detailed information regarding the applicant, including simply his/her name.

Ranch resident Lynn Breeden asked Lapora: “When will we know who these applicants are?”

Lapora: “WELL, when we get closer to the 12th.”

.

Breeden: “Are you going to keep us in suspense?”

.

Lapora: “Of Course. After it closes we’re going to put out an informational blurb that goes out.”

Breeden: “Shock everybody at the same time?”

.

Lapora: “Yeah and laughing.”

The following was listed under NEW BUSINESS: “BOD Director Vacancy Selection-Oath of Office and Seating”. NO APPLICANT(S) NAMES OR BIOS?

Lapora promised an “informational blurb” in advance of the so-called selection process, but didn’t. WHY THE SECRECY?

.

As an aside, the Associations Policy and Procedures Handbook, specifically section 4.17,

describes a process regarding the selection of replacing a Board member that includes holding a “Special Meeting”. Not a Regular Board of Directors Meeting-A SPECIAL MEETING?
