9 YEARS IN THE TRENCHES
By John Stevens

In 2017 Ranch Matters (RM) developed it’s own individualistic journalistic style that has drawn both praise and criticism. Our investigative reports and information have been utilized by local and national news organizations.
We’ve been recognized by the NATIONAL REPORTERS COMMITTEE FOR FREEDOM OF THE PRESS (RCFP), based out of Washington, D.C. along with other local and state government
bodies.
Throughout the last nine years RM has stayed the course and uncovered some interesting
facts and events that many would have preferred, especially agents of Crooked River Ranch
(CRR), to be hidden.
Former and current CRR Officials and their minions have employed the dirtiest of dirty tricks to shut us down. They have filed “false” and malicious complaints with local and state
government agencies as a part of a pattern to silence and discredit us. We’ve been placed on a “HIT LIST” along with many other members deemed the enemy by Ranch Management/Officials. They’ve spread vicious and defamatory rumors, denied us access to CRR communication platforms and restricted our journalistic rights/civil rights as part of their wrongful obstruction and harassment campaign. When all else failed, Ranch officials, have resorted to punitive resolutions, passed in secrecy, as part of their on-going retaliatory
practices.
Our stories are well researched, original, hard-hitting, accurate and honest. We strive to
develop cutting-edge reports most reporters can’t or won’t touch. However, we’re constantly being accused of “stirring the pot”, “twisting facts”, “lying”, “stalking” and “harassment” as part of their punitive and deflective efforts.
QUESTION WITH BOLDNESS
CRR is a microcosm of the greater power structure. As in all power structures, “question with boldness.” Ranch Matters questioning and reporting has resulted in reprisals, fines, liens,
trespasses and serious defamatory attacks.
We’ve published over 2000 stories that included riots, demonstrations, protests, crime, spies,
lies, the whispered and unexplained, fires, elections, government meetings/affairs, special
events, Covid, litigations and of course Crooked River Ranch activities.
There’s a lot of unusual and unexplained events occurring right now and things are looking
interesting. Whether you live on the Ranch or elsewhere, you’ll need reliable information. We’ll
do our best to continue bringing you factual and honest reports.
For those of you who have accused Ranch Matters of “stirring the pot’, “twisting facts”,
“negativity”, “lying”, please take the time to read the our stories and then lets talk.
Ranch Matters intends to defend our First Amendment Rights-FREEDOM OF THE PRESS
vigorously. “We won’t back down.”
Thank you for your continued support and God Bless all of you. RANCH MATTERS.
