Jefferson County Commissioner/Chair, Kelly Simmelink sat down with Ranch Matters today and discussed the wildfires in Oregon.

Simmelink lamented, “We remember 19 years ago, on September 11, when our Country was under attack, right now, I feel like Oregonians, Jefferson County residents, myself-kind of feels like we are under that same attack…”

Simmelink, while watching portions of Governor Kate Brown’s Press Conference concerning the wildfires, took notes and simultaneously was on the phone coordinating emergency procedures with Jefferson County Sheriff Adkins & other County Officials.

Simmelink is urging people to remain calm and be vigilant.
