WHEN IS A THEFT NOT A THEFT?

WHEN IS A THEFT NOT A THEFT?

Sheriff Jim Adkins: “Hey John, yes it should be reported. I’d hate it if some stole my signs.”

Sheriff Adkins directed me to report the theft of our political signs-NO ON 2 on August 22, 2016.

Ranch President David Palmer just cant keep his facts straight. As referenced in his August 2017 newsletter message, he states in part: “Mr. Stevens then filed criminal charges for theft against the Association and Ranch Manager Judy Lapora.” FALSE. There were no charges filed only a theft report as directed.

Returning to August 2016, the theft case was solved but not by the Sheriff’s Office. Once the sign bandits had been identified law enforcement’s attitude changed and unnecessary delays developed. Perpetrators status aside, a theft is a theft.
