Today, Ranch Matters attended a WEATHER SPOTTER CLASS, hosted by Sheriff Jim Adkins at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
Meteorologists Marc Austin and Dan Slagle from the National Weather Service (NWS)/ Pendleton, Oregon, presented an array of weather related subjects.
The class was informative, interesting, educational and included a slide presentation.
Weather Spotters are trained VOLUNTEERS, “who provide reports of severe and hazardous weather to help meteorologist make life-saving decisions.”
