TRUTH ORR CONSEQUENCES

By Carol Orr

7/7/21

Since I was unable, after being removed (again) from Monday’s (7/6/21) Board Meeting, I wrote, today, an email to Ruler Carl Harbour and His Board my thoughts and a question.

Shortly thereafter, Harbour responded. NOTE Ruler’s total disrespect for Crooked River Ranch Members:

He writes, “to accommodate the availability of those we needed to confer with and not your convenience…and a higher priority than your 40 minutes.” And Ranch Ruler’s response to my simple question regarding the Golf Course, he writes: “as to your insinuation and accusatory comment about my statement…asking unnecessary questions.”

WHY THE OVER REACTION TO A SIMPLE QUESTION? What is wrong with Harbour?

Why is he so defensive?

Sorry that we the members are so inconvenient and unnecessary. Since this was an Executive Session regarding (ANOTHER?) Legal Issue for 40 minutes, Harbour is saying the high price lawyer (that we the inconvenient pay for) gets priority.

Harbour’s response:

C Orr,

It is unfortunate that you were not able to rejoin. Others managed to do it successfully.

Since our meetings are “Board” meetings, for the purpose of doing “Board” work, the agenda and its order of business is set by the Board. In this case, holding Executive Session at the beginning was necessary to accommodate the availability of those we needed to confer with and not for your convenience. I believe it was the right decision for the entire membership and the Association, and a higher priority than your 40 minutes.

As to your insinuation and accusatory comment about my statement regarding our Golf Operations, the details backing up my article can be found on the Ranch website in the audit report.

The transparency and facts are available to you if you’re willing and able to do your homework prior to asking unnecessary questions. However, for your convenience see page 19 of the final audit report, on the website. There, you will see a net income of $26,185 for Golf Operations, which is inclusive of all aspects of their operations including salaries, insurance and equipment.
