SURVEY or SURVEIL?
Bill & Judy’s Rodeo Survey was tabulated yesterday and the results will be announced at Monday’s (6/6/22) Work Session Meeting.
Now that their “survey” has concluded, questions are being asked about whether it was actually a survey or something else.
Ranch Matters (RM) is leaning towards something else.
WHAT IS A SURVEY?
According to Wikipedia, “…A survey is a list of questions aimed for extracting specific data from a particular group of people.” “Survey research is often used to asses thoughts, opinions and feelings.” “…It is important to ensure that survey questions are not biased such as using suggested words. This prevents inaccurate results in a survey.”
Kevin Fiet reached out to RM today after thinking about what he observed at yesterday’s tabulation process. He added, “I needed some time to digest what I heard and observed.”
Mr. Fiet said, “The real issue is the so-called survey structure and the biased built into it.” He asked rhetorically, “Was this really a survey or a was it a disguised election process?” “They were counting votes.”
Fiet conveyed his concerns regarding the ranch officials true intent behind the rodeo survey. He stated, “I would like to think that the BOD and ranch officials have the interests of the homeowners as their primary motivation, but the longer I watch the goings on of the ranch ‘government’, the less it appears that way.”
Fiet also mentioned “Lists”. Apparently while he was conversing with President Bill Burt yesterday, Burt discussed the “hit list” that has been reported on RM. Burt implied, if not actually stated, “the list is a fake.”

Fiet ended his report, “If this wasn’t really a survey and the so-called survey process was designed for something else, could the information gathered be utilized for other purposes?
