Today we lost a strong advocate for government Transparency and Accountability.

Ms. Ginger McCall, Governor Brown’s appointed Public Records Advocate unexpectedly resigned today over Conflicts and Secrets.

Ranch Matters met Ms. McCall her first day on the job and was told she believes citizens need to get involved in their government and have a right to know what their government entities are doing. Transparency is very important to Ms. McCall.

On July 26, 2018, RM invited Ms. McCall to the Ranch and hosted her Public Records presentation.
The people that most needed to hear what she had to say, couldn’t be bothered to attend.

Anytime the cause of good government loses one of its strong advocates, we all lose.
