REMINDER
CRR/SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT (SRD) MEETING TOMORROW
4/11/23, AT 10:00 AM IN THE JUNIPER ROOM & VIA ZOOM
SEE AGENDA ATTACHED
AGENDA ITEM OF INTEREST:
SUNDOWN CANYON ROAD (ROAD TO PERDITION)
Listed under OLD BUSINESS-“Sundown Canyon residents-suggestions for safety improvements.”
“SAFETY”?
Since the fall of 2021, Sundown Canyon Road and the controversy surrounding forcing the CRR Water Company to move the water vault has been a hot topic.
As previously reported, SRD Chair Sue Haley has stated-reaffirmed, that the water vault needs moved. According to Haley other options have been discussed, but moving the vault is apparently a must.
Interestingly, there has been little to no support from the very impacted Sundown Canyon Road residents.
They’re not showing up at the SRD meetings voicing safety concerns or demanding action.
It’s our understanding the SRD may have received some very limited contact from certain residents, but nothing significant enough to force the Water Company and/or the Homeowners to pay for Ms. Haley’s expensive (“$469,000”) pet project.

Haley is actively seeking input, “suggestions” from the Sundown Canyon residents.
According to a letter-INVITATION, dated 3/28/23, and sent to the residents of Sundown Canyon Road, Haley is now interested in hearing from said residents-two years into the controversy.
*COPY OF HALEY’S LETTER ATTACHED
She’s inviting them to attend tomorrow’s SRD meeting because the SRD is now, again two years later, interested in hearing suggestions for the improvement of safety issues on Sundown Canyon Road.
Haley’s letter ends: “Our commitment to you, and to all other Ranch residents, is safety. Please plan to join us for what I’m sure will be a lively discussion.”
