“CRR REPUBLICAN ADVOCATES”

Jefferson County Board of Commissioner candidate Brandie McNamee appears to be under attack from serious oppositional force(s).

.

Last week certain CRR residents received an anonymous letter in the mail with the return address: “CRR REPUBLICAN ADVOCATES, CRR, OR 97760.”

.

The letter was mailed via USPS in a plain white envelope, used address labels and sent to specific individuals, minus their name.

.

It was simply addressed to “CRR REPUBLICANS.”

.

The letter’s heading: “Commission Candidate McNamee’s personal profiteering off of Rajneeshparum CULT in Jefferson County”

.

.

Ms. McNamee’s response:

“The anonymously prepared document mailed to CRR individuals presents false and misleading information. For example, I do not own three businesses, I own one LLC. I am more than happy to provide factual information and details of our cabin development project that are being transported from a youth Christian camp (not Rajneeshparum) and is being built to create local jobs for my community.

.

It is very disappointing that someone wastes valuable time to piecemeal snippets of words to create in their mind something that represents me.

.

My commitment to honesty and integrity stands true and if the individual wishes to come forward and admit their claims, I would be more than happy to speak with them face to face (or in front of any CRR residents that wish to listen).”

.

Obviously McNamee would love to know who’s behind this last minute smear campaign. With the ballots in the mail she’s rightfully concerned about the impact this will have on her race for commissioner.

Candidate George (Wes) Curtiss told Ranch Matters: “I want to help Brandie find the culprit” and he created a private text chat group for the Position 3 seat candidates. Curtiss opened the new chat group with the following comment:

.

“If anyone knows who is telling these lies about Brandie call me because I will run a ad in paper to fix her reputation this is not cool.”

.

Curtiss: “They need to come out and prove their accusations or apologize to Brandie.” He added: “It’s wrong-this letter about Brandie, can you guys (RM) look into this and ask the public for help?”

.

McNamee used the chat group to post the letter for her opponents perusal and stated: “This is the mailer brought to my attention. It is complete lies. It is what it is, I guess people have too much time on their hands to be honest. Thank you for all being civil this election.”

.

Ranch Matters contacted the Jefferson County Sheriff”s Office for any reports and according to Sheriff Jason Pollock: “As far as I know, we haven’t taken any reports from residents. If its just a letter, it isn’t criminal. It is more of a civil, defamation type of case. As far as I am aware of we don’t have any cases.”

.

Interestingly, last night (05/07/24), Ms. McNamee’s political ads mysteriously disappeared from RM’s Facebook News Site.

We contacted McNamee and asked if she was aware of this latest attack. McNamee: “Thank you pointing out the post was blocked…”

.

“Hopefully whoever is behind the letters and reporting FB posts will stop.”
