RENEGADE OR ROGUE OPERATION?
At our last CRR Regular Board Meeting (10/17/22), ranch resident Wes Ferrell asked the Board about their position on the MacPherson subdivision proposal and referenced the prior Board’s letter of support authored by former president Bill Burt.

President Kari Vickey stated, ”That has not been discussed.”
Ferrell asked: “Where do we stand now?” VP Ara Erdekian stated: “I think it was the last day or the second to the last day before the whole Board actually was relieved of duty and then we had a new Board. I got an email from our President (Bill Burt) saying what he would like to do, which was send a letter to, saying how the Board of Directors encouraged and would approve and I did not respond to that email…”

The Directors continued discussing Burt’s Letter of Support without mentioning his name while distancing themselves from his actions. They questioned how the word “we”, used by Burt, meaning the Board was supporting the subdivision proposal.
Erdekian added, “No, it did not seem like the people that were sitting here that were on the Board last year signed off and said yes, you can attach my name to that…”

On 9/8/22, Ranch Matters (RM) published “Important Update” regarding the the Jefferson County Planning Commission’s receipt of a letter of support for the MacPherson Development Project from lame duck president Bill Burt. The letter was dated 9/7/22, signed by Burt and clearly linked all of the Directors to said letter of support/decision.

RM asked: “WHEN DID THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEET REGARDING THIS PROJECT AND WAS IT APPROVED BEHIND DOORS?”

Based on the Directors admissions at the 10/17 meeting, none of them provided Burt the support he was looking for, yet he submitted the letter anyway.

If the Directors had nothing to do with the letter of support, was Burt operating under his own authority or in concert with others?
What did he/they have to gain?
