REMINDER

HOW’S YOUR MONEY BEING SPENT?

Tomorrow, 1/27/21, there will be a CRR “JOINT” Budget Audit Committee (BAC) MEETING starting at 10:00 AM.

The Administration hasn’t posted on the Ranch website conspicuously any announcements/details indicating the date/time/location for this meeting and the same goes for the BAC MEETING held last week on the 20th. The most current BAC MEETING listed on the website was for December 15, 2020. In the spirit of full disclosure, BAC MEETING schedules are available, but you have to hunt for it.

WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO POST BAC MEETING ANNOUNCEMENTS AND SHOULD THEY BE RECORDED?

Typically, these meetings are open to the membership, however, COVID mandates have restricted members ability to attend and we asked for the meetings to be recorded.

Last year Lapora and the Board spent over $13,000 dollars of membership money for their private audio/visual recording equipment.

Ranch Matters emailed Ranch Manager Judy Lapora on 1/19/21, a day before the 20th meeting and asked, “With the updated audio/visual equipment would it be possible to record & post on the Ranch Website the BAC meetings for the membership?” Lapora immediately responded, “I will have to research if and how we can do that. I have worked with the system yet so am not sure. I will check into it. I have a very busy schedule right now so I am not sure when I can devote the time.”

So, Lapora and the Board spent 13K for this elaborate recording system and apparently don’t know how to use it-OR DO THEY?
