Ranch Matters had an opportunity to observe and talk with an Oregon Air National Guard Combat Controller this evening currently operating from the Madras Airport.
According to the Controller, the Air Guard is based out of Portland and they are conducting night time parachute training.
Several parachute airmen boarded the aircraft for their mission, but it was aborted prior to take off due to an engine issue.
