On November 7, 2018, Ranch Matters posted a story titled: “NO, NO NOTICE”, regarding the SRD holding a SPECIAL MEETING on November 5, 2018 and failing to obey Oregon’s Public Meetings Law that requires public bodies-SRD to provide a timely Notice and in this case NO NOTICE.
We asked, “Where was the required Public Notice for that Special Meeting?” and added: “...please NOTICE us of any PUBLIC MEETINGS and additionally, please as members of the Media, we request Notice of ALL Executive Session Meetings.”
On November 15, 2018, Ranch Matters posted, “MYSTERY MINUTES?”
Mystery Minutes reported on conflicting statements and minutes regarding the November 5, 2018 NO NOTICE MEETING. Please see our November 15, 2018, story for details.
The SRD COMMISSIONERS know better and Commissioner Mike Schlabach in particular. Schlabach before his March 2018 appointment to the Commission was lobbying, protesting and advocating for serious changes regarding the SRD.
