MONDAY NIGHTS 9-17-18 REGULAR BOD MEETING-Report

9/19/18, 4:06 PM

Meeting started at 6:00 PM and ended at 7:30 PM and no Executive Session.

All Directors present with the exception of Director Mike Folkestad and VP Stu Steinberg via telephone from Las Vegas.

Also in attendance, Jefferson County Commissioner Mae Huston.

AGENDA followed by President Carl Harbour.

Some Highlights:

PUBLIC INPUT:

Former Director Carol Orr spoke regarding rising HOA DUES and urged members to participate in the Budget Process and voice their opinions.

Ranch Resident Linda AnDyke discussed concerns regarding her personal HOA DUES.

SECOND READINGS-Resolution 2018-08-20 (Recording of Board Meetings)

President Carl Harbour opened the discussion and explained the proposed Resolution along with obtaining input from the Directors.
VP Steinberg expressed his opinion that the First Amendment does not apply on the Ranch and Commissioner Huston shook her head in agreement.

Stephanie Roderick asked why the Resolution was being discussed, considering it was originally proposed by a non-member.

I personally (JS) asked if the Board received our hand delivered letter regarding the proposed Resolution. President Harbour indicated that the Board received the letter and would answer the questions contained in the letter in next months Telegraph.

Lora Harbour commented on the possible alteration of videos along with concerns of misrepresentations.

President Harbour advanced a Motion tabling the
Resolution for 90 Days. Motion approved.

Post meeting, I (JS) was approached by Ranch Resident/Committee Member Jim Stagl, expressing his displeasure with a recent post on Ranch Matters, regarding his recent comments on the Chat. In a moment of outrage, he called me a “F**KING IDIOT.”

We asked Commissioner Huston if she agreed that Ranch Members’ First Amendment Rights end at the door of the Juniper Room. She replied “YES”. She added that if one would like to participate, he should run for a Board or Committee position.
