“MAN UP”

.

At the February 19, 2024, Regular Board Meeting, Special Road District (SRD) Director/Chair, Lynn Breeden addressed the Board.

Breeden tried to explain to the Board some of the informational road blocks he has encountered since his appointment. Additionally he was looking for governing policies and procedures related to the SRD and its relationship with the Ranch Association.

.

BIG MISTAKE

.

Director Ara Erdekian kicked into high gear, used his Director position as a weapon and went on the attack. He told Breeden:

“The SRD got to MAN UP.”

Erdekian: “The SRD Board is there for a reason and its to guide what’s going on.”

.

“Coming and asking, its getting repetitive and old. Have an idea, put together a proposal and then be real about it…”

.

Erdekian’s communication style was combative, rude and condescending towards Breeden.

.

Breeden’s wife spoke up an accused Erdekian of being “rude and inappropriate.” Erdekian did apologize, but Breeden suspects the apology was more about Erdekian’s political ambitions.

.

Erdekian repeated his intentions to run for a Jefferson County Commission position in the May Primaries.

POST MEETING

.

A couple of days later SRD Chair Breeden allowed Ranch Matters an opportunity to accompany him to the SRD’s office.

To his surprise, he discovered a copy of the SRD’s Procedure & Policy Manual, which mysteriously appeared on the desk.

According to Breeden, he has been unable to locate such a document and questioned the timing of its appearance.
