LAW OFFICE FIRE-UpDate

Grand Jury Investigation

Ranch Matters has published several stories regarding the May 25, 2019, arson fire that seriously damaged the law firm offices of Madras attorneys Glenn, Reeder & Gassner.

UPDATE

Today, the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office convened a Grand Jury to investigate and subpoenaed witnesses to appear. We spoke with two of the witnesses.

Robert Berg

Witness Robert Berg told Ranch Matters that his testimony focused on his limited involvement surrounding discovering the fire. He stated, “I saw smoke coming out of the top of the building-it caught my interest.” He investigated before calling 911 and made sure the building was unoccupied. While on the scene,

Berg took “17 photos” and before today, no one asked him for the pictures. Berg noted, the first time he was contacted by law enforcement was approximately 18 months later, on September 18, 2020.

We also briefly spoke with Kathleen Ann Dundom (Garrett) prior to her grand jury testimony.
