LAW OFFICE FIRE-UpDate
Madras, Oregon
“I CAN FEEL THE EYES ON ME”
Madras attorney William Carl has been named a “PERSON OF INTEREST” regarding the May 25, 2019, arson fire that seriously damaged the law firm offices of Madras attorneys Glenn, Reeder & Gassner.
Mr. Carl, a former partner, in the law firm, was bought out by the partners “7-8 months” before the arson. Though no longer affiliated, Carl admitted there was some “bad blood” between Tim Gassner and him.
In a 2019 state document obtained by Ranch Matters, Tim Gassner named William Carl as a Person of Interest. According to the document, Gassner stated in part, “He (Gassner) also reported Mr. Carl (William E.) was a person of interest in the arson.”
FAST FORWARD
Mr. Carl sat down with Ranch Matters yesterday and stated immediately: “For the record, I had nothing to do with it.” Carl also confirmed: “I have not been asked by any law enforcement or investigative agencies about any involvement I might have had. The only people who seem to be following it and investigating it, is Ranch Matters, which is why I’m talking to them.”
Carl finds it interesting that if he indeed he is a person of interest why hasn’t any law enforcement agencies reached out to him-almost 3 years later. According to Carl, the investigation has been very secretive triggering serious rumors and gossip about him and his professional career.
