LAND OF OPPORTUNITY
Attended tonight’s meeting at the Ranch Chapel that lasted about an hour. Also in attendance was Jefferson County Administrator Jeff Rasmussen, Ranch Directors Judy Gilliland, Stephanie Proffitt, Mike Folkestad along with CRR/SRD Commissioner John Williams.
According to the handout, the stated purpose was, ” An informational meeting to discuss development of property adjacent to and south of Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue…The property owners want to share the development concept and seek public input.”
Bend attorney Will Van Vactor kicked off the meeting about 6:00 PM and after a 5 minute introduction turned the Mic over to Eric Myhre, representing the MacPherson’s.
The family is on a fact finding mission interested in obtaining community input and allowed the audience to participate by asking many questions and providing answers as best as possible, given the proposal is conceptual in nature.
There was some confusion regarding the first incorrect Survey sent out vs the corrected Survey posted on Ranch Matters. All Survey responses submitted will be reviewed upon receipt.

He will be reviewing information gained from tonight’s meeting along with the Survey Responses. All options are on the table and the process could take up to 3 years.
