JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER’S MEETING 2/5/20

2/05/20, 2:40 PM

JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSIONER’S MEETING

Ranch Matters attended today’s Commissioner’s meeting for the sole purpose of addressing the Commission, specifically Commissioner Mae Huston.

In our “CRR/BOD Work Session Meeting” report, posted last Monday, we stated, Jefferson County Commissioner, Mae Huston approached Ranch President Carl Harbour and suggested it’s not appropriate for Ranch Members to ask questions at Board Meetings.

Former Ranch Director, Carol Orr, who was in attendance, challenged Houston’s comments and questioned the appropriateness of Huston’s attempt to influence the Ranch Board.

Several Ranch Members conveyed their concern regarding Huston’s remarks to Harbour and asked, what’s Huston’s agenda?

GOOD QUESTION

We also reminded Commissioner Huston that she is not a dues paying HOA Member and that we have a problem with her using her elected position to unduly influence our Ranch Board.

Huston sidestepped the issues, never addressed our questions and relegated the matter to inaccurate perceptions.
