Jefferson County Second Amendment RESOLUTION

 

Today, the Jefferson County Commission discussed a Resolution that designates Jefferson County as a

“SECOND AMENDMENT SANCTUARY COUNTY.”

Discussion included Public Input both For and Against the Resolution.

Jefferson County Sheriff Jim Adkins spoke in favor of the Resolution and referred to himself as a “2 A GUY” that prefers all citizens be armed.

One excerpt from the Resolution states: the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners recognizes that the first and last protectors of the United States Constitution are the people of the United States, and that the ability of the people to fulfill that role rests in a large part with the PEOPLES” RIGHT to bear arms as stated in the Constitution of the United States of America and the State of Oregon…

Resolution was unanimously APPROVED.
