*Charlie’s Big Dog Saloon’s Liquor License Application was APPROVED by the Commission
(Ranch Matters checked with the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office and confirmed that Articles of Organization were filed on January 25, 2021, listing the new entity name as “CHARLIE’S BIG DOG SALOON LLC” with Cyrene Dickinson as the Organizer/Initial Member/ Manager)

*Jefferson County District Attorney (DA) Steven Leriche addressed the Commission regarding the need for a Waiver of the 90 day Hiring Freeze due to a recent resignation of a Senior Deputy. Waiver was Approved.
.
DA Leriche provided the Commission with an interesting “WIRE TAP OPERATION” report involving drug trafficking that inadvertently intercepted a “PLANNED EXECUTION FOR AN ATTACK ON SOMEONE…”
.Additionally, Leriche covered other interesting criminal justice issues of concern for the residents not just in Jefferson County, but also Statewide
.
*Chris Taylor from the “Move Oregon’s Border” group presented his case that included a slide show to the Commission.
Commission Chair Simmelink initially provided some background linking today’s discussion to last November’s ballot measure 16-96: “Requires County Commission Meetings Regarding Relocation Of Oregon-Idaho Border.”
