Following the Pledge of Allegiance & Invocation, the Chair entertained Public Comments.

Ranch Matters (RM) asked the Commission, what kind of trouble, if any, would they, as our elected officials, be looking at by stepping up and supporting businesses that ignore the Governors Lockdown Order.

They were also asked if they are aware of any other elected officials within Oregon working with their respective businesses on a plan to open up the first of the year.

Susan, from Madras weighed in. She asked the Board if there are enforcement measures available regarding citizens not wearing masks in public establishments.

Last Sunday, Susan observed a large gathering of unmasked people entering an establishment and conveyed her public health concerns.

Susan was told the County’s role is not enforcement based, but rather to “educate and inform” citizens.
