Panorama Park Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)-UpDate

The County Commission held a lengthy discussion that included a status report from County Building & Grounds Director Blake Fonnesbeck, regarding the proposed MOU.

.

County Commissioner/Chair Kelly Simmelink discussed some concerns regarding the proposed MOU that have been brought to his attention that included adding more specific language related to areas of responsibility.

.

Additionally, the Commission will be considering requiring the Ranch to submit a monthly Cleaning Log with their monthly billing invoice.

.

According to today’s Commission Agenda, the MOU has been signed, but is incorrect. The Commission has agreed to further review the proposed MOU and make necessary changes by May 1, 2021.

Prior to the Panorama Park discussion, Ranch resident Carol Orr commented on the proposed MOU. Ms. Orr stressed the funding for the Park is TAXPAYERS MONEY and not Dues. Orr was asking for some accountability “given the history of mismanagement by Admin…”

.

She suggested that the Commission incorporate in the proposed MOU a Cleaning Log requirement on the part of the Ranch when they submit their monthly invoice.

.

During a break we had an opportunity to speak with Simmelink about adding the Cleaning Log requirement. He stated he had no problem adding the log requirement and suggested we talk directly with Blake Fonnesbeck for his thoughts.

.

A short time later we met personally with Fonnesbeck and discussed some of the ongoing issues related to Panorama Park and the proposed MOU. We specifically asked him if the cleaning Log requirement could be added to the proposed MOU. He replied, “NO PROBLEM” but said he would need to contact Ranch Manager Judy Lapora for her input.
