JEFFERSON COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONER’S EMERGENCY MEETING

Today, Jefferson County held an Emergency Meeting to evaluate and assess the need to declare a local state of emergency.

Several local jurisdictions, including the cities of Culver, Madras and Metolius were represented and reported in.

There were no reports obtained from Crooked River Ranch Officials, however, one property owner-Ms. Kate Adams called in and discussed power outage matters on the Ranch.

According to Jefferson County Emergency Manager, Sgt. David Pond, there were no injuries and he is collecting damage estimates from private and public entities.

Pond confirmed yesterday’s violent storm reflected “all the characteristics of a tornado, but it was not a tornado.”
