INTERVIEW WITH A “MANSON GIRL” ?
Crooked River Ranch resident and former Ranch Director, Carol Orr sat down with Ranch Matters today and reported the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) sent her a copy of the “HIT LIST” which included her name, along with Director Mark Schneider’s March 12, 2020 complaint he submitted to DPSST.
Ms. Orr reviewed the complaint and felt compelled to speak out. She stated, “This (complaint) may seem to be about Ranch Matters and me, but really its about vulnerable elderly residents living on low incomes on the Ranch. She added, “These same residents are at the mercy of a vindictive Ranch Administration and retaliatory Board.”
She said, “They will stop at nothing to achieve their end.”
One, of many serious examples, included in Director Schneider’s complaint dealt with Schneider calling Ms. Orr along with other ladies of the Ranch “MANSON GIRLS.” Schneider stated in part, “We (WE?) have started calling them the Manson Girls because they will do what ever John Stevens ask.”
Carol Orr has been busy. She’s been contacting state agencies, public officials, media organizations, as well as, reviewing Ranch Matters stories. Two stories, in particular stood out. The first story posted June 19, 2020, titled, “DONT’ WANT TO BE THE SCAPEGOAT FOR THE RANCH” included a video interview with former Ranch General Maintenance Supervisor Steve Swigart, where he confirmed Ranch Manager Judy Lapora in fact maintains such a LIST. The second story was posted June 25, 2020, and it was titled, “HIT LIST or BAD GUY LIST” where Swigart further explained the HIT LIST along with other disturbing issues.
Orr watched Swigart’s interview again about the hit list and said, “He (Swigart’s) comments have been validated by the DPSST complaint filed by Director Schneider.
At the April 19, 2021, Crooked River Ranch (CRR) Regular Board of Directors Meeting, Ranch VP Bill Burt read a prepared statement regarding stories and comments concerning complaints made to DPSST against Ranch Matters News Service and John Stevens’ private investigators license.
VP Burt additionally addressed the “HIT LIST” which has been the subject of some of Ranch Matters stories. Burt said, “The subject Hit List, was supposedly, provided, to DPSST, was not compiled by Ranch Management or the Board of Directors. The question of who provided the LIST, would have to be answered to other sources, such as Ranch Matters, the Directors who filed the complaints or DPSST.”
Burt added, “If your name was on such a LIST provided to DPSST, you would need to go to other sources-again, such as Ranch Matters, Directors or DPSST to get your answer.”
Carol Orr followed VP Burt’s directive and as stated above, reached out to DPSST and got her answer. Director Schneider’s complaint contained the LIST.
Regardless of VP Burt’s SPIN, Director Mark Schneider was an active member of the Board of Directors at the time the complaint was submitted to DPSST.
As Ranch President Carl Harbour stated in the February 2021 edition of the Telegraph, no ONE member of the Board can act alone.
