HONORING OUR VETS

Today’s Veterans Day events in Madras included a ceremony at the Aviation Memorial across the street from the Madras Airport and hosted by Madras VFW Post 12141.

Because of COVID-19, the ceremony was held outside and not at Erickson Aircraft Museum.

The 20 minute ceremony started at 10:00 AM with an Invocation and Flag salute.

The agenda included acknowledgement of veterans and the branches they served, history of the POW/MIA Flag, TAPS and a raffle.

Also in attendance, Madras Mayor Richard Ladeby, Madras Police Chief Tanner Stanfill and Jefferson County Commissioner Mae Huston.
