Attended the third annual Elder Abuse Conference held at the Riverhouse in Bend on November 8 and 9.
Excellent conference designed to educate criminal justice professionals, lawyers, investigators, health providers and others.
Oregon’s Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum opened the conference welcoming all in attendance and provided her professional, as well as personal thoughts regarding the “escalating” problem of Elder Abuse in Oregon.
There needs to be more public awareness regarding this escalating problem tied to the Boomer Population.
As an aside, the pending Gavin Smith-Brown case, is an excellent example-case study, of how risk factors (red flags) involving victims-elders & their children evolve and can lead to homicide.
