CRR SPECIAL ROAD DISTRICT REGULAR MEETING

At 10:00 AM the meeting was called to Order by SRD Commissioner Mike Schlabach.

After the Flag Salute Roll Call was held and SRD Commissioner John Williams was present along with CRR Road Supervisor Jordan Jones.

 

 SRD Chairman Rich Hoffmann attended via telephone.

Commissioner Schlabach followed the  AGENDA.

SOME HIGHLIGHTS:

Commissioner Schlabach provided his Treasurer’s Report.

CRR Road Supervisor Jones provided his detailed report regarding Road Department activities for the month of March.

OLD BUSINESS: Discussion regarding the status of annexing the Emergency/Alternate Exit. According to the Commissioners, the BLM has refused to sign off on the project because the Exit was not completed as required.

Commissioners further discussed the legal ramifications surrounding the Petition Process to annex the Exit. Chairman Hoffmann stated he has been in contact with a lawyer who apparently is in the process of passing the matter on to a “junior member” of the law firm.

NOTE: At the last SRD Meeting on 3/13/19, Commissioner Williams stated, this matter has been referred over to Madras attorney Tim Gassner…

Also under, OLD BUSINESS, the Commissioners discussed the purchase of the Jefferson County crack sealing machine for $7,000 along with the Resolution-drafted by Madras attorney Tim Gassner. Commissioners unanimously voted to approve the purchase.

NEW BUSINESS: Commissioners discussed  “Judgment on Case No: 18 CV 03272 Stevens vs CRR SRD and John Williams, Public Records Request for documents on Quail Road Extension awarding $5,000 plus costs of $453.96 plus and interest to John Stevens.”

The Commissioners discussed appealing vs. paying and Commissioner Schlabach Moved to pay the award. Chairman Hoffmann was asked, “You want to second that, Rich? He stated, “Not really, but I will.” The Motion was passed unanimously.

The meeting wrapped up at about 10:50 AM after hearing from some residents.
