CRR FIRE and RESCUE EMERGENCY PREP EVENT

Attended the Emergency Preparation event today at the CRR Fire Department, where several Ranch residents, first responders and vendors provided informative and extremely valuable information regarding fire safety and disaster preparedness.

Dana Schulke, Administrative Assistant for CRR Fire kicked off the event by welcoming attendees and introducing the presenters.

Jefferson County Emergency Manager, Jefferson County Sergeant, David Pond.
Newly hired, Emergency Manager, Sergeant Pond, retired from the Oregon State Police, after serving 25 years. Pond is a strong advocate for preparing the public for any/all disasters, saying

“Iʼm going to prepare and coordinate the public for all natural disasters.”

As an information source, also in attendance was Richard Ladeby, Area Coordinator for the Jefferson County Neighborhood Watch Program.


According to Ladeby, CRR currently has five Neighborhood Watch Programs and stated, “We could use more.” He urged people to contact him if they are interested in becoming a part of the program. He can be contacted at: 503-930-7093.
