CRR/BOD Work Session Meeting

Today’s Work Session Meeting was held virtually via Zoom and started about 10:00 AM and ended at 10:57 AM

.

The following Ranch Directors in attendance: President Carl Harbour connected by phone, VP Bill Burt, Secretary Monty Riddle, Treasurer Jerry Cooper, Mike Dries, Richard Ebers, Randy Peterson. Directors Judy Gilliland and Stephanie Proffitt absent

.

Ranch Manager Judy Lapora and General Maintenance Supervisor Mike Knoke also participated

Jefferson County Commissioner Mae Huston in attendance

Meeting was facilitated by Ranch VP Bill Burt

Mike Knoke provided Swimming Pool Upgrade Report followed by Judy Lapora’s RV Park Staffing Report that confirmed RV Park Manager, Sue Boyle retired a short time ago. “Kathy”, last name undisclosed, has been hired as the new RV Park Manager. Due to Boyle’s short retirement notice, Kara Burkhart has been assigned to train/help Kathy

Knoke also provided his RV DUMP STATION REPORT. According to Knoke, they’re having trouble finding a contractor to handle the excavation-removal of rock, for Harbour’s 5000 Gallons Septic/Holding tank. Directors exploring other options for removing their sewage.

Interestingly, the Directors Discussion did Not include the cost involved: $27,500

*Video Snippet # 05: Legal Update about the CRR WATER COMPANY LAWSUIT via Burt. According to Burt, the Ranch is waiting on a MOU, yet to be finalized. No further details provided or reasons for the lengthy delay.

Supposedly, the lawsuit was settled on 11/13/20, after an all day Mediation Session. What’s Going on?

*Video Snippet # 06: QUAIL ROAD (Emergency Exit) discussion regarding the required Fencing Repairs…

Burt stated the repairs are the responsibility of the Special Road District (SRD) and it’s their “problem”

Harbour chimed in and asked, Did the SRD accept that-take the responsibility?

Ranch resident/FAN Member Marilynne Keyser interjected and explained how FANS is “pushing” their agenda on the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), as well as asked clarification questions

Ranch resident and former Director Carol Orr tried to weigh in, but VP Burt immediately stated, “We’re not taking public comments” and Ms. Orr replied, “You just took a public comment…”

Burt repeated, “Carol, I’m not taking comments”

Ms. Orr was attempting to explain that while a Ranch Director, she was involved in the Emergency Road Process, but was CUT OFF by Burt.

After Ms. Orr was Cut Off, the following message was sent to her:

“YOU ARE UNABLE TO REJOIN THE MEETING BECAUSE YOU WERE PREVIOUSLY REMOVED BY THE HOST.”

Burt responded, “You’re working with the BLM…”

NOTE: Ranch Matters (RM) has published multiple stories about the Quail/Emergency Road process. RM’s was forced to file a Public Records lawsuit against the SRD & SRD Commissioner John Williams for the release of withheld records relevant to the construction & maintenance of the Quail/Emergency Road project.

RM PREVAILED & was awarded attorney fees along with the withheld documents.
