CRR/BOD REGULAR MEETING

Yesterday’s (9/20/21), BOD MEETING was held again virtually via zoom and started at 6:00 PM ending at 7:00 PM.

All Ranch Directors present with the exception of Randy Peterson.

 

Meeting facilitated by newly appointed President Bill Burt and he followed the attached AGENDA.

*Video Snippet # 01: Prior to ROLL CALL, Julia Randall was “sworn in” as a new Director and ROLL CALL continued.

*Video Snippet # 02: CONSENT ITEMS, Approval of Meeting Minutes & Road Supervisor Jordan Jones AFE 262 Request for the purchase of a service truck discussed/approved.

*Video Snippet # 03: COMMITTEE/STAFF REPORTS that included Golf Course Superintendent Richard Jensen’s staffing problems. Director Jerry Cooper the Golf Course Liaison asked: “How many people is he (Jensen) down & when does he cut back for Winter?”

President Bill Burt answered: “Two very good questions that I have no answer for.”

Ranch Manager Lapora said Jensen lost another person last week and confirmed Jensen is reducing is seasonal staff in preparation for Winter.

Burt suggested Cooper get with Richard Jensen for answers and Lapora referred to Jensen’s staffing problems as “a moving target” and provided a couple of examples. According to Lapora, Jensen hired a couple of people and “one guy lasted one day, saying he couldn’t take it and another guy he had that was on for a while, ended up having to quit for another reason…”

President Burt responded: “It’s a tough job sitting on a mower.”

Carl Harbour chimed in and stated that the County Officials will be researching ordinances the Ranch has been questioning…

WHAT INCIDENT?

In our 9/8/21, Work Session Meeting story, Ranch Matters reported the following:

Ranch Member and Board Candidate, Jeff Parcel observed Director Jerry Cooper enter the park area with his dog. Parcel approached Cooper and said, “It’s posted here, dogs are not allowed.” Cooper ignored Parcel, walked away and took his seat with his dog at the Directors table.

.

 

PUBLIC INPUT CONTINUED and due to technical difficulties, a resident wasn’t able to ask his questions.

.

Resident Carol Orr voiced some past concerns and suggested to the new Board Members they think for themselves, seek answers and know what’s going on related to Board activities.

Meeting adjourned to Executive Session for legal issues at 7:00 PM.
