Item of interest in tonight’s Reading Packet & listed under NEW BUSINESS:

“Discussion & fact finding regarding JFCO Sheriff coverage on CRR”

RM reached out to Sheriff Pollock for any updates and/or discussions with the Ranch officials. He responded via text:

“No one that I am aware of has reached out to me about this. You are the only one that has.

I would like to have a deputy on the ranch full-time, however, with the small amount of deputies I have, it would be very challenging.

A Levy, permanent Levy, for the whole office would be the best way to solve many issues. There has been some talk about a Levy, but not a lot.”

.

This is New, Old News. In 2017 the Ranch sponsored Ballot Measure 16-88 regarding increasing-“enhancing” police patrols on the Ranch.

The measure went down in flames, in part, because deputies stationed on the Ranch, were required to respond to calls off the Ranch & the bulk of their calls are in the North.
